Sharjah: The Syro Malabar Community of Sharjah St. Michael’s Church is set to host its much-anticipated annual celebration, Tent 2025, with the theme “Embracing Divine Unity, Family & Faith Rejoice Together”. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, at the Thumbay Medicity Grounds in Ajman, bringing together families, parishioners, and community members for a day of faith, fellowship, and festivity.
Preparations for this year’s tent promise a vibrant mix of activities designed to reinforce family bonds and uphold the traditions of faith. The celebrations will officially commence with the opening of the entrance gates at 4:00 pm, welcoming attendees to an evening filled with spirited cultural and religious events. Children will take center stage in various competitions, while the faithful can look forward to a procession and proclamation rally, accompanied by a kottikalasham, chenda melam, and a lively band performance.
A general meeting will be inaugurate by the parish vicar, Fr. Muthu OFM Cap, during which distinguished personalities including Fr. John Joseph Edatt Capuchin and Fr. John Thundiyath will deliver felicitation and extend greetings to the congregation. The session will also feature prize distribution for competition winners and the felicitation of volunteers who have dedicated their service to the community.
Highlighting this year’s celebration is the faith proclamation rally, which will see participation from over 100 family unit members, symbolizing unity and devotion. The evening will be further enlivened by a musical performance by renowned playback singer Rimi Tomy, promising a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
The organizers have informed that entry will be through Entry Pass, ensuring smooth management of the event. The Team Kudaram 2025, operating under the motto “One community, one family, one celebration”, is spearheading the extensive preparations. Key figures coordinating the event include SMC Coordinator Sojin K. John, Assistant Coordinator Simi Dennis, and Ajman Coordinator Varghese Baby, with Alan Jose and Sheri Joseph serving as conveners.
With faith, unity, and family at its core, Tent 2025 is poised to be a memorable celebration that strengthens community ties and reinforces the enduring traditions of the Syro Malabar faithful in the UAE.
