Kerala Assembly Speaker A.N. Shamseer Honours ‘Aaghosham’ for Powerful Anti-Drug Message

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker has formally recognized the Malayalam film Aaghosham for its strong stand against drug abuse, applauding the film’s contribution to social awareness and youth protection. The honour was presented to the film’s team by Assembly Speaker A.N. Shamseer during the cultural programme “Kairaliyude Eenam”, held at the Assembly Auditorium.

Produced as the second venture of CN Global LLP, Aaghosham was commended as a socially responsible film that effectively communicates the dangers of drugs and substance abuse. The Speaker’s award acknowledged the film’s clear message aimed at educating society and countering the growing influence of drug networks that threaten the younger generation.

The film was created with the specific intention of generating awareness and encouraging prevention efforts against the drug mafia, while also sparking serious public discussions on the harmful consequences of alcoholism and addiction. Receiving such recognition on the platform of the Legislative Assembly was widely seen as a meaningful example of cinema and social responsibility coming together for a common cause.

Aaghosham is produced under the banner of CN Global Movies, led by expatriate entrepreneurs Dr. Lizy K. Fernandes and Prince Prosi Austria and team. Released with the tagline “Life is all about celebration,” the film has resonated strongly with audiences and successfully completed its second week in theatres, drawing appreciation for both its entertainment value and its message-driven narrative.

The film is directed by Amal K. Joby and features an ensemble cast including Vijay Raghavan, Naren, Rosmin, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Jais Jose, Johnny Antony, Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Bobby Kurian, Shaju Sreedhar, Maqbool Salman, Kottayam Ramesh, Kailash, Divyadarshan, Rushin Shaji Kailas, Nikhil Renji Panicker, Vijay Nellis, Nasser Latheef, Dini Daniel, Titus John, Joy John Antony, Anjali Joseph, Jens Jose, along with several promising newcomers.

The technical crew also played a key role in shaping the film’s impact. Background music was composed by 4 Music, while cinematography was handled by Rojo Thomas and editing by Don Max. Amaldev K.R. served as Chief Associate Director, with Titus John as Project Designer and Nandu Poduval as Production Controller. Art direction was led by Rajeesh K. Surya, makeup by Maloos K.P., and costume design by Babisha K. Rajendran.

Choreography was managed by Sanoj Delga Dos, Anna Prasad, and Shyam Doc. The production team included executives Pranav Mohan and Antony Kuttampuzha. Public relations were handled by Manju Gopinath, still photography by Jaison Photoland, and design work by Pramesh Prabhakar.
