Thrissur: The Kerala government has decided to declare the deadly fireworks explosion in Thrissur as a state disaster, as grief and shock continue to spread across the region. The decision comes as the scale of the tragedy becomes clearer, with more families coming to terms with their loss.
The explosion took place at a fireworks storage unit in Mundathikode in Thrissur district, where materials were being prepared for festival celebrations.
