Shamshabad: Mar Joseph Kollamparambil and Mar Thomas Padiyath were ordained as Auxiliary Bishops of Shamshabad Diocese during the Episcopal Ordination held at the CKR & KTR Convention Center in Badangpet Balaji Nagar, Shamshabad.

The Auxiliary Bishops were ordained by the blessing of Mar George Cardinal Alencherry, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church.

Mar Joseph Kollamparambil and Mar Thomas Padiyath were given the insignia by Mar George Alencherry. The Ceremony was pursued by the Holy Qurbana.

The ceremony was also graced by the presence of twenty-five Bishops.

Mar Joseph Perumthottam, Metropolitan Archbishop of Changanacherry; Mar Raphael Thattil, Bishop of the Eparchy of Shamshabad; Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Bishop of the Eparchy of Palai, Most Rev. Anthony Poola, Bishop of Kurnool and Secretary General TRBC were the concelebrated the Holy Qurbana.

Mar Joseph Pamplany, Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Tellicherry; Mar Pauly Kannookadan, Bishop of the Epacrchy of Irinjalakuda; Mar Prince Antony Panengaden, Bishop of Eparchy of Adilabad; Mar James Athikalam, Bishop of the Eparchy of Sagar; Mar Sebastian Vadakkel, Bishop of the Eparchy of Ujjain; Mar Joseph Kodakallil, Bishop of the Eparchy of Satna; Mar Joseph Kollamparampil, Bishop of the Eparchy of Jagdalpur; Thomas Tharayil, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archeparchy of Changanacherry, Mar Neelankavil Tony, Auxiliary Bishop Of Trichur; Mar Joseph Pandarasseril O.S.B., Auxiliary Bishop of Kottayam Archdiocese were also concelebrants of the Holy Qurbana.

The ceremony also witnessed the attendance of Priests from various dioceses, nuns, provincials of religious congregations, lay faithful and residents of the region.

Mar George Cardinal Alencherry presided over the ceremony. Chigirintha Parijatha Narasimha Reddy, Mayor Badangpet Municipal Corporation spoke during the ceremony. Msgr Abraham Palathinkal delivered the Welcome Speech and Pastoral Council Secretary Sanjo Felix delivered the vote of thanks.
