Once upon a time, there was nothing—no earth, sky, sea, or animals. Then, in the darkness, God spoke, saying, "Let there be light!" Immediately, light scattered the darkness, revealing the vast space. God was pleased and said, "That's good! From now on, darkness will be called 'night,' and light will be called 'day.'"
The evening came, the night passed, and light returned. This marked the first day.
On the second day, God created the earth and hung a beautiful blue sky above it. God admired His creation and said, "That's good too!" And so, the second day ended.
The next morning, God looked around and thought, "The earth needs some organization." So, He gathered all the water in one place and separated it from the dry land. Then, God adorned the land with plants—dandelions, daffodils, trees, and grasses of all kinds. God exclaimed, "It's looking great!" and the third day came to a close.
On the fourth day, God observed the daylight and the night and felt they needed some adjustments. Thus, He created the sun to illuminate the sky during the day and the moon and stars to add a shimmering glow to the night. After placing them in the sky, God stepped back and admired His work. "This is coming along very well," said God.
The following day, God turned His attention to the oceans He had formed. He desired these waters to be teeming with life! And so, it was. In no time, countless small fish darted through the shallow water, while massive fish swam in the deep ocean. God also created birds and sent them soaring through the air. "Ahh, that is good!" exclaimed God. As dusk fell over the water and the sky grew dark, the fifth day came to an end.
On the sixth day, God filled the land with various creatures. He made lions, tigers, bears, rabbits, sheep, cows, and everything from ants to zebras. But God felt that something was still missing. And so, God created Mankind to enjoy and take care of all that he had made. God looked around and was delighted with everything He had created.
After six days, the entire universe was complete. On the seventh day, God took a nice long rest and joyfully admired all that He had made.
This incident teaches us about the power and love of God. God created the world out of nothing. He created the world with all its beauty and splendor because he loves us. So we should also love everything that God has created and be thankful to him. After every creation he said it is good. This teaches us the value of finding satisfaction in our work and taking time to rest and appreciate the world around us.
