Father Antony Vaddakekara, the PRO of the Syro-Malabar Sabha, reiterated that the film 'Kerala Story,' which aired recentlt on Doordarshan, was screened to students of the Idukki Diocese to create awareness on the traps in romantic relationships.

The screening of 'Kerala Story' took place during the faith festival organized for students in classes 10, 11, and 12 during the holidays. The festival's theme this year was centered around the concept of love.

Father Antony emphasized that this initiative should not be thought as any used for any kind of political or communal purposes. The screening was purely aimed at educating children on the complexities of romantic relationships.

The film was chosen because it effectively depicted modern issues related to such fake romantic relationships. The film was screened on the fourth day of the event, which was before the news coverage on the 8th.

He highlighted the importance of open discussions, stressing that parents should not feel uncomfortable if their children are exposed to such topics. Instead, it is essential to address any concerns and engage the upcoming generation in constructive dialogue.
