Vatican City: A new post office has opened in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican to serve the millions of pilgrims and visitors expected for the 2025 Jubilee. The inauguration ceremony was led by Cardinal Fernando Vergas Alzaga, President of the Governorate of Vatican City, alongside Dr. Giuseppe Lasco, Head of the Italian Postal Service, and Sister Raffaella Petrini, Secretary General of the Governorate. The Italian Postal Service generously donated the new facility.
The post office will be a valuable resource for the vast number of pilgrims and tourists visiting the Vatican during the Jubilee celebrations, allowing them to send postcards and greetings from the heart of the Vatican. Located on the left side of St. Peter's Square, the office is designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring people with disabilities can easily use the services.
In addition to regular postal services, the office will offer exclusive Vatican stamps, envelopes, and cards, enabling visitors to send messages to loved ones around the world. It is anticipated that around 35 million people will visit the Vatican as part of the Jubilee festivities.
