Vatican to Hold Rosary for Pope Francis' Health in St. Peter's Square

The Holy See Press Office has announced a special recitation of the Rosary for the well-being of Pope Francis, set to take place at 9 p.m. on Monday in St. Peter's Square. The prayer gathering will be led by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State.

According to the Vatican's official statement, "Beginning this evening, Cardinals residing in Rome, together with members of the Roman Curia and the Diocese of Rome, will unite in prayer in response to the heartfelt sentiments of the faithful. They will gather at 9:00 PM in St. Peter’s Square to recite the Holy Rosary for the Holy Father’s health."

The worldwide Catholic community has been fervently praying for Pope Francis' recovery. In his Angelus address, which was distributed on Sunday despite his absence, the Pontiff expressed gratitude for the overwhelming prayers and support he has received.

Demonstrating the Church's solidarity, Cardinal Baldassare Reina, the Vicar General of Rome, celebrated a special Mass at the Papal Basilica of St. John Lateran on Sunday afternoon for the Pope’s healing. Later that evening, Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, President of Italy’s Episcopal Conference, led a Rosary at the Basilica of San Domenico in Bologna with the same intention.

The Rosary service from St. Peter’s Square will be streamed live via Vatican News' website and social media platforms, allowing the faithful worldwide to join in prayer for the Holy Father’s recovery.
