Pahalgam Terror Crackdown: Militants’ Homes Destroyed to Rubble in Forceful Retaliation

In a stern response to the recent terror strike in Pahalgam, security forces, in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir civil authorities, launched a decisive crackdown on Friday by razing the homes of two terrorists suspected to be behind the carnage. In a high-impact demolition, the house of Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Adil Hussain Thokar, located in Bijbehara, was blown apart using improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Simultaneously, a bulldozer was deployed to flatten the residence of another militant, Asif Sheikh, in Tral.

Adil Thokar, a known associate of cross-border terror networks, is believed to have orchestrated critical logistics and planning for the deadly Baisaran Valley assault that left 26 people dead. According to intelligence reports, Thokar crossed into Pakistan via the Attari-Wagah border in 2018, where he underwent extensive training in militant camps before re-entering the Valley last year to carry out subversive operations.

The crackdown comes as part of an intensified manhunt launched by the Anantnag Police and allied security agencies. A bounty of ₹20 lakh has been declared for actionable intelligence leading to the arrest of Thokar and two Pakistani terrorists identified as Ali Bhai and Hashim Musa. Security forces have released sketches of all three suspects and deployed teams across the region as part of a widespread pursuit.

Both Musa and Ali are believed to have been active in Kashmir for over two years, embedded within sleeper cells and facilitating terror logistics. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in capturing the trio, as the Valley remains on high alert in the wake of the attack.
