India Strikes Back: Pakistan Army Suffers Losses in Retaliatory Operation ‘Sindoor’

In a decisive show of strength following the gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Armed Forces have launched a powerful retaliatory campaign—Operation Sindoor—which, according to defence sources, inflicted significant casualties on the Pakistan Army. The operation was triggered by repeated artillery provocations from the Pakistani side, which India responded to with a calculated and forceful counterstrike.

For the first time since the 1971 war, India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force came together in a coordinated tri-service assault. At precisely 1:44 am, the Indian military executed precision strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). These included key sites linked to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba and its proxy, The Resistance Front—both of which are believed to be behind the April 22 massacre that left 25 tourists and a local pony operator dead in cold blood.

Indian defence sources confirmed that strategic facilities in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Gulpur, and Bhimber (in PoK) and Muridke, Sialkot, Chak Amru, and Bahawalpur (inside Pakistan) were struck. Notably, Muridke is the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba, led by Hafiz Saeed, while Bahawalpur houses bases of Jaish-e-Mohammad, another UN-designated terror group.

In a clear message of controlled aggression, India’s statement emphasized that no Pakistani military installations were directly targeted. “Our response has been precise, restrained, and solely focused on eliminating terrorist threats,” a government spokesperson said. “We have shown the world our resolve: those who orchestrate attacks on our soil will not go unpunished.”

While Pakistan retaliated with intense shelling across the Line of Control, tragically resulting in the deaths of three Indian civilians, India reiterated that it would not be provoked into full-scale escalation unless necessary.

The Indian government, under the direct oversight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reportedly monitored every phase of Operation Sindoor. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the strike with a post reading “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, while the Indian Army declared boldly on social media: “Justice is served. Jai Hind.”

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reacting sharply, accused India of imposing an “act of war” and warned of strong retaliation. However, global observers note the selective targeting of terror bases rather than military infrastructure as evidence of India’s strategic maturity and commitment to regional stability.

As diplomatic tensions heighten, the world watches closely—aware that South Asia stands once again at a dangerous crossroads between justice and war.
