Anuj Agnihotri tops civil services exam, five Keralites in top 150

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, with Anuj Agnihotri securing the first rank in the country. A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various central services including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service and Indian Foreign Service.

Anuj Agnihotri, who hails from Rajasthan, emerged as the topper after clearing all three stages of the examination which include the preliminary test, the main written examination and the personality interview. Reports say he is an MBBS graduate and was previously associated with the Delhi Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service.

Rajeshwari Suve M secured the second rank while Akansh Dhull stood third in the final merit list released by the commission.

The results have also brought pride to Kerala as five Keralites have secured positions within the top 150 ranks. Their performance once again highlights the strong presence of candidates from the state in the prestigious examination.

The Civil Services Examination is considered one of the most competitive examinations in India. It selects candidates for top administrative positions in the country. The written examination for the 2025 cycle was held in August last year and the personality interviews were conducted earlier this year before the final results were announced.

Candidates who have been recommended in the final list will now be allocated to different services based on their rank and preference. The successful candidates will soon begin their training before taking up responsibilities in various administrative roles across the country.
