KUALA LUMPUR- A tragic incident unfolded near Kuala Lumpur as a small private jet crashed into a motorbike and a car while attempting to land at an airport in the outskirts of the Malaysian capital. The crash resulted in a devastating loss of at least 10 lives, leaving officials and the community in shock.

The ill-fated aircraft, identified as a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1), was a light private business jet with six passengers and two crew members on board. The crash occurred around 2:08 p.m. (0608 GMT) near Elmina township, moments before the aircraft was scheduled to land.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan provided details to the media, explaining that the jet had lost contact with the air traffic control tower, leading to the tragic collision with a motorbike and a car on a nearby highway.

Authorities revealed that no emergency call had been made prior to the crash, and the aircraft had been granted clearance for landing. The incident has prompted a search and rescue operation to retrieve any possible survivors and gather crucial information about the circumstances leading to the tragedy.

Norazman Mahmud, the chief executive of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), provided additional details surrounding the tragic crash of the Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) private jet near Kuala Lumpur.

According to Mahmud, the aircraft's initial contact with the Subang Air Traffic Control Tower occurred at 2.47 p.m., followed by the granting of landing clearance just a minute later, at 2.48 p.m.

Tragically, at 2.51 p.m., air traffic controllers at the Subang tower witnessed smoke emanating from the crash site. Disturbingly, despite the unfolding emergency, no distress call or mayday signal was issued by the aircraft. Mahmud conveyed this information through an official statement.

The CAAM disclosed that the ill-fated flight had been operated by Jet Valet Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian private jet services company.
