Donetsk - At least five individuals have lost their lives, and an additional three have sustained injuries as a result of shelling originating from Russian sources within Ukraine's Donetsk region.

Pavlo Kirilenko, who holds the position of overseeing the military administration in the Donetsk region, conveyed that the shelling had occurred specifically within the Liman district.

The Donetsk regional prosecutor's office reported, 'While situated near a private residence in the village of Torsk, three residents tragically lost their lives, and another individual from Torsk suffered injuries due to the incident.'

Furthermore, Kirilenko detailed, 'Within the Yampil settlement of the Donetsk region, two civilians lost their lives, and one person sustained wounds due to the shelling carried out by Russian forces.' Kirilenko also added, 'Aerial bombardment by Russia targeted settlements including New York in the Donetsk region.' Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a consequence of this particular attack."
