Thiruvananthapuram: The award distribution ceremony for the 2024 Logos Mobile Game app was held at Vellayambalam, inaugurated by Bishop Stanley Roman, Emeritus of the Diocese of Kollam. In his address, Bishop Roman emphasized the importance of embracing the Holy Word in its entirety—reading, understanding, and sharing it as true followers of Christ. Following his address, prizes were distributed to this year’s winners of the Logos Game app.
In the Malayalam-English category, the first prize winner received a cash award of ₹10,000, the second prize winner received ₹7,500, and the third prize winner received ₹5,000. Contestants ranked 4th to 10th were each awarded ₹1,000. Additionally, all winners received a memento, a certificate, and the 2025 Logos Study Guide. Participants ranked 11 to 100 in the Malayalam category and 11 to 50 in the English category were also recognized with certificates and study materials.
Bishop Kristudas, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram, lauded the efforts of the Media Commission in advancing the use of new media and technology for evangelization. He highlighted its significant role in modern ministry.
During the event, Bishop Kristudas unveiled the Malayalam version of the 2025 Logos Study Guide, presenting the first copy to Fr. Shaju William, Director of Pastoral Ministry of the Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram. Bishop Stanley Roman released the English version, handing the first copy to Rev. Dr. Lawrence Kulas, Ministry Coordinator of the Archdiocese of Varappuzha.
Several speakers, including Fr. Lawrence Kulas, Fr. Shaju William, Fr. Denny Mathew Karingat, and Sr. Alex Fernandes, shared their insights during the program. Executive Secretary of the Thiruvananthapuram Archdiocese Media Commission, Fr. Vigil George, along with Logos Team Coordinator Shaji George, extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude.
The event also featured personal testimonies from top winners, including Varappuzha Archbishop John Job, who secured first place in the Malayalam category, and Ernakulam-Angamaly Archbishop Krista Maria Joseph, who took second place in the English category. Adding to the ceremony's vibrance were musical performances led by Angel Ann George and Anna Ann George.
