CBI probe sought into the distribution of Contaminated fuel worth Rs 21 crore

Kozhikode: The BMS union has alleged that IOC had distributed contaminated fuel worth Rs 21 crore to various petrol pumps in six districts of the Malabar region. According to a complaint filed against the distribution, the contaminated fuel was supplied from the Feroke depot.

Two BMS-recognized unions have approached the Center seeking a CBI probe into the secret sale. Trade unions allege that the wrong decantation process, occurred on October 27 last year. According to protocol, the contaminated fuel must be sent for recycling at the refinery. But unions allege the issue was quietened and the fuel was sold to petrol stations.
