CHARIS to host 12 hours online adoration and intercession for peace in Ukraine on Wednesday

“In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!” (John 16: 33)

CHARIS (Catholic Charismatic Renewal International Services) Intercession Commission will organize a 12 hours online adoration and intercession for peace in Ukraine on Wednesday, 13 April 2022 from 9 am to 9 pm Rome time. The event will be organized on Zoom and CHARIS International YouTube.

The inaugural mass will be presided by Most Rev. Francis Kalist, Bishop of Meerut in India (Archbishop designate in Pondicherry-Cudalore) & Episcopal Adviser to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in India at 9 am (Rome time). The Holy Mass will be streamed live from Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, New Delhi, India (a retreat centre owned by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in New Delhi). This will be followed by a message by Pino Scafuro, Moderator, CHARIS International.

About 30 slots of 20 minutes duration will be led by various countries pooled together in different languages. Bishop Dmytro Bohdan Hryhorak of Buchch, Ukraine and intercessors from Ukraine and Russia will also lead a short time of intercession for peace in Ukraine. The time of adoration will end with the solemn benediction by Most Rev. Francis Kalist at 9 pm (Rome time).

Representatives from countries across all continents are expected to join and lead the adoration and intercession at least for a short time.  82 countries have signed up so far to lead a short time of intercession in their own languages for a few minutes each. More countries are in the process of signing up. This would be the largest network of adoration and intercession that has ever taken place for a particular cause.

CHARIS invites everyone to join the prayer session from the following link:
