Job seekers must accurately gather information about the employer before traveling abroad. Travel should only be done through recruiting agencies who are registered on the e-Migrate web portal. Details of the recruiting agency can be verified by checking with the Central Government at www.emigrate.gov.in

Job seekers also should exercise caution when traveling on visitor visas and ensure such visas issued by unauthorized recruitment agencies is avoided. Special care should be taken to obtain an offer letter from the employer. The candidate should make sure that the job offered by the employer is suitable for his / her qualifications and abilities.

The NORKA CEO said that only if stringent measures are taken, visa frauds and resulting scams can be avoided.
