Kremlin - In response to an intensified assault by Russia aimed at capturing territory, approximately 12,000 civilians residing in 37 towns and villages near the northeastern front line of Ukraine were instructed to evacuate on Thursday.
Residents in Kharkiv's Kupiansk district received a directive from the local military administration, presenting them with two options: evacuate or sign a document acknowledging their willingness to remain in the area at their own risk.
The city administration conveyed, "Given the difficult security situation and the increasing amount of shelling by Russian terrorist forces in Kupiansk community, you have the opportunity to evacuate to a safer place."
Tragedy struck in Zaporizhzhia, where a Russian missile struck a hotel frequently visited by UN officials. The attack resulted in the loss of life for at least one person and left 16 others injured. Denise Brown, Ukraine's humanitarian coordinator, expressed her dismay, stating, "I am appalled by the news that a hotel frequently used by United Nations personnel and our colleagues from NGOs supporting people affected by the war has been hit by a Russian strike in Zaporizhzhia shortly ago."
Amid these developments, a source from the Kremlin has revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is mulling over the possibility of attending the G20 summit in person. The summit is slated to take place in September in New Delhi, India, with a central theme of "One Earth, One Family, One Future."
