The CEO of a Polish beverage company, an AI-powered humanoid robot named Mika, maintains a demanding schedule. Dictador appointed her as its experimental CEO in August of the previous year, and she's fully committed to helping the company achieve its ambitions. In a video interview with Reuters, Mika stated that she operates "around the clock, seven days a week," with no traditional weekends. She's always prepared to make executive decisions and harness the power of AI.
Mika's responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, from identifying potential clients to choosing artists to design rum bottles for the company. Her decision-making process relies heavily on data analysis and alignment with the company's strategic goals, ensuring impartial and strategic choices that prioritize the company's best interests.
However, it's worth noting that Mika won't be dismissing any human employees. Significant decisions at Dictador will continue to be made by human executives, according to Marek Szoldrowski, the European president of Dictador. Mika's role includes overseeing the company's Arthouse Spirits decentralized autonomous organization project, which involves a collection of NFTs, and engaging with its DAO community, as indicated on the company's website.
Mika is an advanced iteration of "her sister prototype," AI robot Sophia, both created by Hanson Robotics, the company known for the widely recognized AI robot Sophia. While Dictador is not the first company to appoint a robot as CEO, it follows a trend set by a Chinese gaming firm that named an "AI-powered virtual humanoid robot" called Tang Yu as the CEO of one of its subsidiaries last year. As of the time of this report, Dictador had not responded to Insider's request for comment, which was made outside of regular working hours.
