Reliance industries Limited announced the launch of a chemical project with TA’ZIZ, in Ruwais, 240 km to the west of Abudhabi city.

ADNOC and RIL have a long standing partnership. This joint venture aims to elevate their partnership in the Middle East and North Africa. 

"The new joint-venture will construct and operate a Chlor-Alkali, Ethylene Dichloride (EDC) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) production facility, with an investment of more than $2 billion," RIL said in a statement.

Chlor-Alkali, EDC, and PVC production will create opportunities for export, targeting markets in Southeast Asia and Africa. This will also provide the local Indian industry with a source of critical raw materials manufactured in the UAE .
