The Indian National flag protected Pakistani and Turkish students while crossing the border

New Delhi: Apart from Indian students, the Indian national flag has also helped Pakistani and Turkish students reach neighbouring Romania from the war front in Ukraine. Along with Indian students, many students from Pakistan and Turkey also crossed the border carrying Indian flags.

The Central Government had earlier instructed Indians in Ukraine to use the Indian flag to escape attacks and cross the borders. Accordingly, the students marched to the Romanian border with the flag.

The students said that they did not face any attacks on the way as they were holding the Indian flag and it helped them to overcome many obstacles along the way. Since they did not have the flag with them, they bought curtains and spray paint from nearby shops and made the flag in order to cross the border. Students are crossing the Ukrainian border to board a flight departing from Romania as part of Operation Ganga.

Medical students from Ukraine said that Pakistani and Turkish students were crossing the border using Indian flags in a similar manner.
