Mukthi 2025: Lakshya Leads the Charge Against Kerala’s Drug Menace

Kannur: Acknowledging drug abuse as a growing crisis that threatens the nation’s fabric, the Indian Institute of Commerce Lakshya launched a bold initiative with its 7-day anti-drug campaign, "Mukthi 2025." As part of the movement, a rally was held today in Kannur town, inaugurated by Kannur Corporation Mayor Muslih Madathil.

Despite repeated crackdowns, drug abuse continues to resurface with alarming intensity, posing one of the most complex challenges to society. The widespread use of intoxicants not only destabilizes the social structure but has evolved into a malignant force eroding the very foundations of the nation.

A strong and healthy generation is essential for a country's progress, yet substance abuse is systematically dismantling this future, inflicting irreversible damage on families and communities alike.

The campaign urged collective action, calling upon individuals to reject and resist the spread of addiction. Participants vowed to stand against this silent epidemic, embracing the message: "Life is not about drugs; life is about family, society, and love—let these be our true highs." With around 500 students and teachers marching in unison, the rally resonated with powerful anti-drug messages displayed on posters.

Led by the Branch Operations Manager, Course Coordinators, Mentors, and Student Representatives, the initiative reinforced the urgency of fighting addiction with awareness, unity, and unwavering resolve.
